All we needed was an appointment to get a referral. The front desk receptionist told me the doctor's will not see people who are bipolar that are trying to find a referral to a psychiatrist. Thank You All … – showĮxtremely discriminant against people who are bipolar. Thanks to all the staff for helping keep me and the other patients to what is best for the patient. This is by no means to be taken as only a negative comments as I have listed the positive experience as well. As of now I'm sure I'll be asked why I have not gotten the Baclofen or why it not be in my system? I will be put on the spot to give an explanation. Of the patient if there is a disagreement between patient and nurse that they go ask or have the Dr. However I would feel more at ease if the nurses could seek further info from the Dr. this new practice of getting patients in/out was a time saver and seemed to make my visit faster than it has been in the past. If the manager (leanne) is reading this please don't disreguard this message as a nurse making medication decisions on their own, could result in some one becoming I'll or worse due to a medication issue, that could be resolved by getting up and consulting with the doctor. I'd prefer along with other patients (I'm sure) to see my Dr. But yet told me for a third time she was right and I was wrong. I would like to remind the nurses that they are not doctors and with this being an issue. Although I tryed to convey this info, she refused to go ask or double check. The medication was Baclofen which helps suppress some of my attacks. She did not se em to be well versed in medication and swore one of my meds was only an antibiotic which it is not. My chart from last vist would have to be looked at to know for sure. Also the nurse who's name began with an N. Carroll through the nurse was coveyed to him correctly. I don't feel what I was trying to say to Dr. Carroll had a new nurse although he had multiple nurses and he was makeing decisions from his office and sending the nurses back with instructions. Carroll has overseen and done the best he can regarding my medical issues.
